Fish Pilot — Support

Fish Pilot is a fishing conditions app. It scores how favourable conditions look at a spot from live weather, season, time of day, moon phase and the tide, and keeps a log of what you catch.

Common questions

Do I need an account?

No. The app works straight away without signing in. You can create an account later to keep your catches and saved spots across devices.

Why does the app ask for my location?

To find water near you and to score the conditions there. You can deny the permission and pick a location by hand instead — the app is designed to work that way, not to nag you.

Are my catch locations private?

Yes, by default. Every catch is private unless you choose otherwise, per catch. You can share one with its location blurred to roughly five kilometres, or share the exact spot. The blurring happens on our servers, not on your phone. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

How do I manage or cancel Fish Pilot Pro?

Subscriptions are managed by the app store you bought them from:

Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent.

If you no longer have the app installed, see Deleting your account.

Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription — cancel that separately, using the steps above, or you will keep being billed.

The fishing score seems wrong

The score estimates how favourable conditions look. It does not promise fish. Weather models are wrong sometimes and fish are unpredictable always — treat a good score as an argument for going, not a guarantee.

If the score looks wrong for a reason we could fix — the wrong location, stale weather, a species that does not belong in your water — please tell us, and include the spot and the time you saw it.

Safety

Fish Pilot is not a navigation or safety product. Check local regulations, licences and closed seasons before you fish, and check marine and weather warnings before you go out on the water.
